Finishing Up

The project has ultimately taken a lot more time to finish. Unexpectedly I slept through all of Saturday, leaving only Sunday as a day for work. Because of lack of time, I had to change my venue for the project from tri-fold board and animap, to a simple prezi. Lack of sleep and exhaustion have also developed into a cold so I don't think I will be able to present this project on its due date, because I probably won't be in school. However, I am finished and happy for that fact. Overall I do not think I learned as much in the project as I could have if I had learned this information in a traditional class setting, and find that many of the components of this project have actually inhibited my learning experience (the blogging took up a large chunk of time). My Project will consist of three smaller prezi slides with brief information behind my objectives, followed by three small prezi slides connecting the objectives to my essential question. The end of my presentation will consist of a large prezi slide describing the specifics of my essential question that are both related to my objectives and not as directly. I plan to show how some wartime inventions led to civilian uses that identified america as a first-world country, how the U.S. had a big role in post-war efforts to protect human rights, and how its addition to the allies contributed to the end of the war. In the essential question slides I plan to highlight how american exports gave the U.S. great economic standing in the world, and site different sources to show this. I plan to show how the U.S. was seen as a nation with great power also through its involvement in the Cold War.
